About Dr. Alicino

Dr. Nicole Alicino is a licensed psychologist based in Manhattan who specializes in neurodiversity-affirming care for autistic and neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan. Her work is grounded in the understanding that neurodivergence is a natural and valuable form of human variation—something to be understood, supported, and empowered.

Dr. Alicino provides psychotherapy for individuals and families, as well as comprehensive psychological and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults, including adult Autism assessments and late-identified presentations.

Her approach is collaborative, respectful, and highly individualized. She partners with clients to deepen self-understanding, strengthen identity, and build practical skills that enhance well-being, autonomy, and meaningful connection.

Using a CBT-informed framework, Dr. Alicino supports clients in navigating anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, social communication differences, and co-occurring concerns including depression, anxiety, and OCD. Her work emphasizes resilience, flexibility, self-advocacy, and sustainable independence—while honoring each client’s strengths, sensory profile, communication style, and lived experience.
